On my trip to Nagaoka earlier this week our friends took us to Teradomari to visit their famous fish street. I bought a box of Sasa dango, they are the specialty of Niigata, apparently available everywhere in the prefecture even on the Shinkansen. They are rice flour and bean sweets wrapped in bamboo leaves (they are quite moist and tasty), I like the wrapping.
